Amy and Sheldon

Sheldon is excited to show Amy his favorite movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark. He expects her to be as enthusiastic about it as he is. After the movie, Amy says she did enjoy it, except for the “obvious plot hole”. She points out that if Indiana Jones had not been in the movie, it still would have turned out the same. To get back at Amy, Sheldon tries to find plot holes in her favorite stories. First he reads Pride and Prejudice, but decides that has absolutely no plot holes. He studies Amy’s favorite comics, Marmaduke and Garfield. Then Sheldon invites Amy to another movie night. This time they watch Little House on the Prairie, Amy’s childhood favorite. Sheldon points out that they stole land from the Indians, they ate peanut butter (not invented yet), and had a telephone (not widespread yet). Amy realizes that he is still mad at her for ruining his movie and she tries to explain that he needs to tell her when he is upset and not seek revenge. Sheldon acquiesces, but cannot resist one more dig: that Garfield has no reason to hate Mondays, because he doesn’t have a job.
